DRY CAMPING
Conditions of Campground Use:
1) The individual making the reservation(s) will be responsible for the actions and conduct of all persons at premises during the reservation period(s). Current and future reservation requests may be cancelled if the following occur: disorderly conduct, unreasonable noise, or any other disturbance, health violations, abuse of staff or property, or failure to remit payment.
2) Full payment of the nightly camping fees for all nights in the reservation and the reservation fee for premises will be collected at the time the reservation(s) is/are made.
3) Ranger Rose Dry Camping reserves the right to partially refund deposits per its reservation refund/cancellation policy.
4) Reservation changes and cancellations will only be accepted from the individual originally reserving the premises.
5) Juveniles (under the age of 18) cannot make a reservation (or self-register on site) and must have adult supervision on the premises.
6) The individual making the reservation assumes responsibility for providing adequate supervision, facility cleanliness and general order while using the campground.
7) Damage and/or destruction of property will result in assessment of repair and/or replacement fees.
8) In all circumstances, Ranger Rose Dry Camping retains full authority for final approval and denial of campsite reservation requests.
Reservation Policy Your credit card is charged the entire amount of the reservation on the day your reservation is made. Campgrounds are open for reservations and can only be used on a first come first serve basis.
Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of the future desired check out day. I.E if today is 7/6/21 and you can make a reservation that ends on or before 9/6/21.
Refund/Cancellation Policy: Reservations cancelled 8 calendar days or more prior to the check-in date will result in a $25.00 cancelation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded via check mailed to the address you reserved with. Reservations cancelled 7 calendar days or less before the check-in date will result in 100% forfeiture of all fees. Reservations may be modified or moved to a different date range up to 4 days in advance of the check-in date at no cost. Reservations cannot be modified or moved 3 days or less before the check-in date. Refunds may be granted in the form of check only.
Onsite Amenities: There are no onsite amenities as it is a dry campsite. There is a groundman that is available 24/7 for emergencies.
There are no sanitary dump stations. There will be a dumping fee of $100 if found on site. There are no water hookups. Pressurized well systems are available throughout each campground.
Campsites: Please be sure to clean up your site before you leave. The campfire pits are not to be used as garbage cans. Be sure your fire is completely extinguished (not smoldering). Occupants of those sites with trash left in will face a fine/citation for littering. Please leave the site in good order when you leave. Each campsite is restricted to two tents or one camper plus one tent. Only two motor vehicles (except as many as five motorcycles) are allowed to park at each campsite. Any additional vehicles must be parked in designated areas outside the campsite. Only one family or group (no more than five unrelated people) is allowed at each campsite. Only registered campers may enter or be in a park between 11pm and 6am. The information provided in each individual campsite description is the best knowledge of current offerings by department staff. Services and conditions described are not guaranteed to be exact.
Pets are allowed. Limit 2. Owners are required to pick up all waste created by their pets.
Waiver: Assumption of Risk/Responsibility As lawful consideration for being permitted to participate in the activity, use a facility or participate in a program described herein, the user hereby agrees on behalf of themselves, or any other participant described herein as well as guests, agents, invitees or others present (if applicable), to assume the risk and accept responsibility for any personal injury, including death, and damage to property they might incur as the result of the activity, facility use or program described in this agreement. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations formulated by Ranger Rose Dry Camping. The user hereby agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Ranger Rose Dry Camping, their officials, officers, employees and agents from and against all judgments, damages, penalties, losses, costs, claims, expenses, suits, demands, debts, actions and/or causes of action of any type or nature whatsoever, including actual and reasonable attorney's fees, which may be sustained or to which they may be exposed, directly or indirectly, by reason of personal injury, death, property damage, or other liability, alleged or proven, arising from the activity, facility use or program described in this agreement. Ranger Rose does not waive, and specifically reserves, its rights to assert any and all affirmative defenses and limitations of liability as specifically set forth in in related Illinois statutes. Survival All express representations, indemnifications and limitations of liability included in this agreement will survive its completion or termination for any reason.
Revocation: Ranger Rose Dry Camping reserves the right to revoke this permit at any time, for any reason, if it is deemed by the Recreation & Forestry Department to be necessary to protect safety, life and property, or to be in the best interest of the City of Kankakee.
TREE STAND HUNTING
These terms and conditions is an agreement made by and between RANGER ROSE DRY CAMPING, hereinafter called “Lessor” and You, the Reservation Person/Party hereinafter called “Lessee”.
The Lessor, in consideration of the covenants and agreements to be kept and performed, does hereby grant access to the Lessee the land located at 17194 East 4750s Road, Pembroke Township, IL 60958, consisting of 5 acres, and described as a dry camping ground/private land, hereinafter called “Premises”, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below:
1. Lessor agrees to grant access the Premises to the Lessee, for the purpose of tree stand hunting game species as listed in 1.a, subject to the stipulations and conditions hereinafter set forth and only at such times as hunting and shooting are permitted by the laws and regulations of the United States and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources in force and effect Lessee understands and agrees that the Premises is not leased for agricultural and grazing purposes.
a. The rights herein granted are restricted solely to hunting and shooting the following species:
· Whitetail Deer
· Wild Turkey
· Common Grey Squirrel
· Rabbit
· Ducks
· Opossum, Raccoon, & Bobcats
· Nuisance species such as Coyote,
· Crows and Beaver may be taken at any time as law allows.
b. The methods of hunting include all legal methods (bow, muzzleloader, shotgun, & rifle) except walking and the hunting of deer with dogs.
c. Fishing within property boundaries
d. Camping at designated camping areas.
2. The terms and conditions shall commence at reserved date beginning at check in time 12:00 pm (local time) and ending on reserve date at checkout time 2:00 pm (local time). Early arrival and/or late departure is NOT permitted.
3. Lessee must be paid in full before check in date and time. Acceptable forms of payment is by credit card or debit card via an emailed invoice after a completed reservation form is submitted by due date and time.
4. Lessee shall take proper care of the leased property, the dwellings, and all other improvements located thereon, and shall be liable to Lessor for any damage caused to domestic livestock, trees, fences, roads, or other property of Lessor due to the activities of Lessee or their guests exercising privileges under this lease.
5. Lessee must be 18 years old or older.
6. All minors permitted by Lessee to hunt on the leased premises shall be under the direct supervision of one of their parents (or guardian) and when children are present on the leased premises, the parents (or guardian) shall be fully responsible for their acts and safety and agree to hold Lessor harmless therefore, regardless of the nature of the cause of damage, whether property or personal injury, to themselves or others.
7. Lessee agrees that any hunter or hunting party may not use the land in this Lease Agreement without being accompanied by a signing member of this lease unless written permission has been granted by the Lessor. A party is limited to 3 individuals. If the Lessee has been found in violation Lessor will have the right to cease and terminate this lease as to the entire group, and all rights granted including payments hereunder will be forfeited.
8. In the event any hunter in the hunting party paying consideration for this Lease fails to execute the same, then those hunter(s) executing the agreement shall be deemed as agents for such other hunters and responsible for all obligations hereunder imposed upon each individual member of the party. Violation of any agreement or obligation herein by any member of the hunting party shall cause the lease, at the request of the Lessor, thereupon to cease and terminate as to the entire group, and all rights granted hereunder will be forfeited.
9. No activity will be carried on at the Premises that will disturb occupants or other neighbors and Lessee will not allow any nuisance to occur or exist. All trash, including carcass matter, must be bagged, and taken with Lessee on their departure, or disposed of in accordance with on-site instruction. Lessee’s liability for damages to the Premises shall not be limited to the amount of said deposit but said liability shall include full payment for restoration or repair of damaged premises.
10. All reservations cancelled are subject to a cancellation charge of $100. For reservations cancelled less than 5 days prior to scheduled arrival, no refund will be made if the land is not leased for the reserved period.
11. Lessee shall be solely responsible for any thefts, acts of vandalism, or other damage or loss of personal property which may occur during the course of this Lease Agreement, whether said damage or loss be the property of Lessee or of Lessee’s guests, associates, invitees, or any other person or persons.
12. The Lessee may not sublet all or any part of this Lease Agreement without written permission from the Lessor.
This Lease incorporates and embodies the entire agreement between the parties, and no oral modification hereto shall be recognized as binding, regardless of the conduct of the parties, unless reduced to writing and signed by both parties.
